What personal data is collected, and why.
Email Address
If you choose to sign up to my Uncomplicated Musings newsletter, I collect your email address via Substack, solely for the intent of providing you with newsletters. Your information is stored in my Substack account, which is password protected. I will never sell or share this information. Read the Substack privacy policy here.
If you email me directly, your email address will be saved in the Uncomplicated Spaces address book. I will only ever use this email to communicate with you concerning the issue at hand. I will never sell or share this information.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on Uncomplicated Spaces, WordPress collects the data shown in the comments form (name, email address, and URL, if provided, and comment). WordPress also collects the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Your data is protected on this site via password protection and 2-factor authentication. I will never sell or share your information.
How long your data is retained
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so WordPress can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
