Simple Quote

“Lead a simple life. First reduce your greeds. Then reduce your needs.” – Ritu Ghatourey

This quotes hits home for me. Before trying to simplify my life, I was very greedy. I was the ultimate consumer…the stuff of marketer’s dreams. Once I realized that the majority of the things that I wanted were only adding stress to my life, I started to become more conscientious of the things I was purchasing and what my real needs were. Since then, I have been able to reduce my needs and that has led to reducing my stress levels as well.

This 1 Simple Hack Is Why My House Is Always Clean

I don’t have a cleaning schedule, but I should. I admit to not being entirely on top of all the household chores. Sometimes I let things go a little too long in between cleanings. Hello, carpet. So I think I would really benefit from this. Maybe you would too. If so, take a few minutes this weekend to make up a simple cleaning schedule. Using this article as inspiration, mine’ll look something like this:

Monday – wipe down surfaces and appliances

Tuesday – clean upstairs bathrooms

Wednesday – clean downstairs bathroom

Thursday – mop floors

Friday – vacuum carpets and rugs

Saturday – clean windows

Sunday – wash clothes, bedsheets

Simple Eat

Ground Turkey Meatloaf

It’s been a while since I’ve made this recipe, but it used to be a go-to on busy weekdays. It’s very simple to assemble with only 4 ingredients – ground turkey, oats, egg, and ketchup – and everyone likes it. I think it’s time to start making it again!

Do You Agree With Your State’s Favorite Design Style?

I thought this was a fun infographic on Domino about the most popular design styles for each of the states. I personally don’t agree with my state’s decorating style (bohemian). I lean more toward mid-century modern or minimalist. However, I do enjoy the look of bohemian clothing and decor, and in the past, may have leaned more towards this decorating style.
